When everyone is gathered around the kitchen, the stove, the turkey, the television, and frazzled people hover around you freaking out about burning the potatoes (it only happened once, Mom!) it’s easy to forget that this thoroughly American holiday (and by that I mean North American, not to disparage the Canadian Thanksgiving) is all about being grateful. And we here at the Ballroom have a lot to be thankful for this year.
Between the seven of us, a dozen new books and novellas have come out in 2013. A RITA was won. Several of us are up for Romantic Times Awards. There have been multiple Ballroom babies born (and one on the way!) Tessa’s family members in the Philippines are all safe. We are all of us relatively healthy, happy, and hey, we get to be romance novelists for a living. Indeed, a lot to be thankful for.
But mostly, we are all thankful for you. We love that you come and interact with us and Lady B every day. We love that you read our books, and we love even more that you seem to enjoy them. And we love that over the course of the past few years, we’ve gotten to know you. That you let us into your lives.
So, thanks. From Lady B’s ballroom to your own personal castle. I hope you are having a marvelous day, filled with family, friends, and hopefully non-burnt potatoes.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! If you’ve got a minute in between food and football, let us know what you’re thankful for in the comments!
